Since the start of 2020, the Coronavirus pandemic has changed the way we think and use public outdoor spaces. Repeated lockdowns and social distancing are now part of our daily lives. But what does it mean for the design of these places going forward?

This interdisciplinary symposium intends to highlight current research pathways, perspectives and practices and to bring together experts to discuss potential opportunities for the post-pandemic environment, around a central question: How will the COVID 19 pandemic impact the design and use of outdoor public spaces, and how was it impacted by them in the first place?

Date: June 24-25, 2021

Where? Wageningen, the Netherlands, Online
