Law Group

The Law and Governance Group focuses on the role of law and governance in the domains of food and life sciences. In research and teaching we pay attention to rules, agreements, and institutions devised and applied at different levels of socio-political organisation.

Our research

The research domain of the LAW group covers law and regulation in the life sciences. Topically the group covers global economic law and regulation, economic here referring broadly to commercial or business regulation. Global economic law is a field that studies the regulation of the behaviour of states, international organizations, firms and consumers operating in the inter-, trans-, and supra-national arenas. Regulation describes activities that seek to control, order or influence the economic behaviour of these market players.
