ORL helps food companies to prepare for future disruptions

"Businesses must think more about how things can go wrong." Sander de Leeuw and Frans de Ruiter of the Operations Research and Logistics group say this in an interview with the WUR magazine Resource. The outbreak of COVID 19 has shown weak links in the supply chain. Businesses can apply insights from the COVID 19 outbreak to prepare for future disruptions. A platform is being created where researchers from the Wageningen University & Research and food companies work together to prepare for future disruptions. The Operations Research and Logistics group is participating in the creation of this platform. The first meeting will take place on 20 January.
