There are different requirements for each bachelor programme to do a thesis with SDC. Please check with your study advisor first to make sure you are eligible for SDC supervision. This page contains the information needed to plan and start your bachelor thesis at SDC. For personal advice, please contact the education coordinator or plan an intake meeting online.
Step 1 Topic
Students must think about a topic they want to research through a literature research. Students should think on their own about a thesis topic that fits the research profile and interests of SDC. For inspiration and ideas, students can check the supervision profiles of SDC staff. Or they can check out the weblog Development and Change and our Facebook page.
Step 2 Intake
As soon as students have a more or less fixed idea of what they want to do for their master research, they need to plan a meeting with the education coordinator Jessica de Koning. She will direct you to a possible supervisor for your thesis. Intake meetings can be planned online via the button to your right.
Step 3 Read the documents
Read the Studiewijzer and SADE BSc thesis guidelines. Both documents contain the rights and rules for doing a bachelor thesis and can be downloaded from this site (column on the right).
