In ‘Breed meets Feed’ feeding and breeding experts of the programmes Feed4Foodure, Breed@Feed4Food and Breed4Food met for the first time. They discussed about several factors influencing animal performance, like feed, genetics, environment and health.

The inspiring meeting revealed a number of common grounds for collaboration e.g. modelling, feed and nutrient uptake, growing curves, digestibility and precision feeding. “We know we need each other because we have so much in common, but we didn’t know each other”, concluded one of the participants. Before closing the meeting the participants agreed on more mutual knowledge exchange in order to increase the added value of their research activities.
