Open tree data as the basis for Web services

Data on trees are collected through various techniques as aerial photography, 3D point clouds, grids and field inventory, for many purposes and in many organizations. Application fields are environment, nature and landscape, agriculture and tree management in urban and rural areas.

In current practice, the resulting data sets are used mostly in their own world, separate data sets and data formats are used per process per organization.

The goal of this project is to investigate if it is possible to create an open dataset Boomdata and its requirements.
