Risk prioritisation

Wageningen Food Safety Research is developing methods to prioritise risks in the chain on the basis of relevance. These risks need to be ranked in accordance with specific, predefined criteria.

Statistical methods

Wageningen Food Safety Research is also developing statistical methods to identify points in the chain where certain risks should be measured and to determine the most appropriate number of samples to take. This will facilitate a cost-effective approach to monitoring.

Trend analyses

Wageningen Food Safety Research analyses risk patterns and trends to ascertain the frequency over time.

RiskFeed is a computer model that determines the top ten high-risk feed materials. The model is based on the possible risk of exceeding the limit for certain contaminants. RiskFeed combines this with the potential impact of this contaminant on the health of animals and / or humans to establish a top-ten.
