Wageningen Livestock Research and Royal Agrifirm Group partner up in Agrifirm’s research farm Laverdonk in Heeswijk-Dinther in the Netherlands. The partnership initially focuses on research in swine, but will later be extended to poultry.

Gert van Duinkerken, manager of Wageningen Livestock Research: "This new partnership offers great opportunities to accommodate the recent closure of our Swine Innovation Centre (VIC) in Sterksel. Moreover, this step fits in our goal to create more strong partnerships and collaborations”.

Roland Brugger, Director R&D at Royal Agrifirm Group, is also pleased with this agreement: "This development is beneficial for Laverdonk. This way, we can continue to make optimal use of our animal-friendly research facility. For our own R&D activities, for research of Wageningen Livestock Research, and for joint projects. Furthermore, it is a welcome extension of our longstanding collaborations with Wageningen Livestock Research.”
