GLB Werkgroep KIND

During 2021, WUR contributed to the elaboration of the strategy for Knowledge, Innovation, Networks and digitization (KIND), part of the National Strategic Plan (NSP) for the CAP 2022-2025. This plan was presented to the House of Representatives in December 2021. In 2022, the strategy will be further developed in the KIND working group and in coordination with other EU member states during the meetings of the European Standing Commission on Agricultural Research (SCAR) on the national Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation System (AKIS).

In the House of Representatives, innovation and knowledge transfer is considered to be important parts of the NSP. In addition, the Minister of LNV has indicated that she wants to stimulate knowledge and innovation on the farm.

The new CAP Network will focus on cooperation and strengthening the links between existing sub-networks, such as the collectives related to agricultural nature management and ecosystem services; the LEADER program network; and top sector TKI programs.

The aim is to connect the innovation and knowledge challenges in the various provinces and to support targeted actions such as master classes, communication and ICT/database. The link with the European networks remains an important link, including with the EIP Service Point in Brussels.

The axe of the action plan to be developed is:
- Roll-out of the new system of certified independent advisory services;
- Advising and coordinating the implementation of the innovation component of the CAP, the EIP, also in response to evaluations and reports. Ensuring a good link with Horizon Europe.
- Advice on deployment to the CAP Network and national network (follow-up national rural network)
- Advising and coordinating digital strategy in the NSP.
