Interdisciplinary Research and Education Fund (INREF)
In order to tackle the world's pressing development-related social problems and to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030, research for development must apply far more innovative interdisciplinary and participatory approaches.
To respond to the social needs for more impact in research for development and to contribute to the development of innovative research approaches, Wageningen University launched the Interdisciplinary Research and Education Fund (INREF) programme in 2000. Much research from Wageningen University & Research (WUR) - and also the INREF programme - is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
