Genebank collections of Dutch sheep and goat breeds
After the FMD crisis in 2001, CGN began collecting semen from six Dutch Heath Sheep breeds.
In the genebank database it is possible to search for sheep and goat breeds yourself.
In 2004-2005 epididymal semen was collected occasionally. Semen from the Milk Sheep, Black Blazed Sheep, Dutch Landgoat and Saanen goat are also part the gene bank collection.
