A snapshot of the symposium on migration, mobilities, and environmental change
While scientific public funding agencies, NGOs, policy makers, and think tanks claim that climate migration poses as a potential aggravator of security risk, many of these claims are unfounded. In order to shift from the climate migration security narrative to a more diverse, intersectional and mundane manner, ENP's Ingrid Boas together with more than 30 lead authors in the field have published a commentary with Nature Climate Change. This is an outcome of an ENP-hosted symposium, organized by Ingrid and Hanne Wiegel, gathering climate researchers from around the world, aiming to shift the debate from climate migration to climate mobilities.

Climate migration myths article in Nature Climate Change
ENP's Ingrid Boas led a recent publication on climate mobilities in the prestigious journal Nature Climate Change, involving also Simon Bush, Hanne Wiegel, and Machiel Lamers as co-authors, and our SDC colleagues Jeroen Warner and Basundhara Tripathy, and many international experts.
