New research and education assistant

Helmi completed her BA in History at Utrecht University, followed by a MA in History at the University of Amsterdam and the NIOD Institute for War, Holocaust and Genocide Studies. After graduation, she worked as a junior researcher for the Dutch NGO ‘Pax for Peace’, focussing on practices of memorialization and reconciliations surrounding the Srebrenica genocide and the war in former Yugoslavia. At RHI, she will be assisting in various research projects and course programmes, starting with the NWO NWA-ORC Heritages of Hunger project.
