The annual report 2017 offers you an account of the activities that contributed to the development of the Library in 2017. With fewer employees, more users, a wider collection of services and a solid infrastructure, we have made significant steps.
We do more with less. While the same can be said of the past few years, it was more relevant than ever for 2017. The number of study spaces in the Library has greatly increased. In addition to the collection of journals that is still easily accessible, we now offer a large amount of journals in which researchers can publish Open Access without additional costs. We also stimulate online learning more and more, with the Library for Learning and the new Reader Agreement. Our tools and support for research
evaluations are also becoming even more professional and
efficient. In the area of Research Data Management, policy
and practice are taking shape. Collaboration in this area
has now extended to the new Wageningen Data
Competence Centre, which has found its place in the

of our internal systems. This has laid the foundation for
even more national and international collaboration and for
the optimal use of digitalisation.
