Facilities
The Microspectroscopy Research Faciity provides access to and assists with optical spectroscopy and microscopy. A wide range of techniques and methods is available to study proteins and to image cells, multicellular systems or food samples.
Protein Spectroscopy
Optical techniques are used to obtain information about the structure, interactions and dynamics of proteins.
(Sub)Cellular Imaging
Range of fluorescence microscopes is available for spectroscopy on micrometre scale. Proces- ses in compartments of cells can be imaged.
Plant Tissue Imaging
Multicellular systems (e.g. the roots or the leaves of plants) can be imaged with our microscopes.
Imaging Food Structure
Fluorescent probes that label e.g. proteins or lipids, 3D ultrastructure of food samples can be imaged with our microscopes.
