The transition to a circular bio-based and climate smart society is the answer to many of the social challenges we are facing today. From 11 – 13 April, Wageningen University & Research (WUR) organises the three-day conference Circular@WUR. Follow inspiring masterclasses and workshops and meet the most innovative circular companies in the Netherlands during this conference. Be inspired by Start-ups and Spin-off organisations that play a crucial role in the transition towards a circular economy.

"Start-ups and spin-offs make the wheel of circular economy turn" is the title of one of the inspiring workshops of Circular@WUR by Maurits Burgering en Gitte Schober of WUR on 11 April. This workshop adresses the crucial role of Start-ups and Spin-offs in the transition to a circular biobased and climate-proof society. “Particularly these smaller organisations are able to actually achieve concrete results with their entrepreneurship and often realise breakthroughs," says Gitte. "More often we see that start-ups and spin-off organisations make a huge difference in society, due to the disruptive technologies they develop", concludes Maurits.

The conference includes various relevant and impactful keynotes, master classes and workshops in which you can learn and experience the circular challenge yourself. You will also have the opportunity to talk to the most innovative circular companies in the Netherlands. Get inspired by the practical experience of the founders of Time Travelling Milkman, FUMI Ingredients and MEZT.

WUR stimulates these organisations to fully express their entrepreneurship and to create positive impact and value for society. “Startups in the circular economy face enormous challenges to scale up to commercially viable organisations," says Corjan van den Berg, CEO of FUMI Ingredients. “We look forward to meeting you and discussing our challenges and insights during Circular@WUR.”
