Course
The use of up-to-date indicators in monitoring, evaluation and impact assessment of food and nutrition security programmes
Course focus
As the field of food and nutrition security (FNS) is rapidly developing, approaches to deal with M&E and impact assessment change as well. With the Sustainable Development Goals being developed, increasing the focus on FNS and gender equality, there is a higher demand from donors to report on certain indicators. Also, working on an evidence-base is an increased need in the development sector. These developments contribute to an ongoing need for updated knowledge of recently developed and internationally adapted indicators used in the field of FNS and gender equality. Next to this, new M&E methodologies such as for example mobile data collection devices (e.g. tablets) or using big data have come up and need to be internalized.
