The Painted Refuse Sacks is a project of Belgian artist Frank Liefooghe. He refers to scientist Alexander Von Humboldt who appeared to be a great visionary regarding the evolution of the climate, nature and environment for more than two centuries ago.

Liefooghe says: “At many places around the globe, governments are not taking enough action regarding climate change. Given the urgency of the situation, we ourselves should not wait!”

Painted Refuse Sacks invites everybody to participate in order to preserve and rebuild our beautiful planet. Have a look at your own environment and produce simple pictures, movies or texts about nature, waste (regeneration), rebuilding ecological projects.
