Meeting the crisis: what is the potential of small-scale agriculture in supporting self-reliance in refugee camps?

In this Agromisa Lecture Series, Bram Jansen will share his knowledge and views on the potential role of small-scale agriculture in long term refugee camps.

Bram Jansen is Assistant Professor Forced Migration and Humanitarian Studies Wageningen University. He has done extensive research in Kenya and Sudan, studying how people build up their lives in difficult circumstances.

Based on his work, Bram has a close view on the responses of humanitarian organisations to the refugee crisis, and the role of small-scale agricultural technology in these responses.
