Pakje Kunst: artistic surprises and an oldschool cigarette dispenser
Over twenty artists from Wageningen are participating in Pack of Art, a unique form of art promotion. For just 4 euro a package, you can draw an artistic surprise out of an old-fashioned, and now obsolete, cigarette dispenser. The Pack of Art project has already been installed in approximately thirty Dutch cities.
It was brought to Wageningen by visual artist Birgit Pedersen and Anne-Marike Bouw, owner of antiquarian bookshop De Beschte, where the dispenser is located. “You can draw a Pack of Art to give as a small gift and make somebody else happy. Or you can satisfy your own curiosity and get one for yourself. Each Pack is a surprise; you never know what you’re going to get!”
