Sprouting Textile
Did you ever wonder what would it be like wearing your own vegetable garden or growing sprouts on tablecloths? In "Project Uitloper" Annemarie Huirne and Christel Burghoorn have been looking for answers.
As an artist and designer, Annemarie uses natural textiles and recycled materials. Besides Christel's work as a stained glass artist, she also works with vegetables and herbs which are either home grown or foraged in the wild.By experimenting with sprouts and textile artworks emerged which represent different stages of life: germination, rooting, growth, death and decay...
The opening takes place on Tuesday September 3rd at 16.30h, everyone is welcome to join. Registration is not necessary.
