The first Surf-Your-Stress week will take place from 11 to 15 November! This week's theme is mental health for both staff and students with its main focus on "learning to cope with stress". Because we at SWU Thymos agree that stress and burnout complaints play a major role in today's student life, we would like to promote this week among Wageningen sporting students.
This week has many different activities and stunts, including a rodeo surf simulator in Forum on Monday, hatha yoga at Sports Centre de Bongerd and a master class in the evening on how to deal with stress. On Tuesday there is a Tai Chi workshop and a Stress Shake Out Experience. Wednesday there are mindfulness workshops and there will be a lecture on "life without mobile devices". On Thursday a spinning lecture about happiness will be organized and there will be a chill docu night with popcorn and drinks organized by SWU Thymos. On Friday there will be a karaoke night and during the week there are walk-in hours for student psychologists, deans and others.
