Negotiations surrounding the planet’s most far reaching free trade agreement in human history are taking place right now. The Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership is better known as TTIP. Giovanni Gruni is Assistant Professor in World Trade Law at the Europa Institute of the University of Leiden. He holds a PhD in international trade law from the University of Oxford, an LLM in EU law from the European University Institute and a master degree in law from the University of Florence. He has extensive international experience in teaching and research in law and policies related to global challenges such as food security, climate change, international trade and regional economic integration. Giovanni has been invited to speak on trade issues in top universities in Europe, the United States and China including Harvard Law School, the College of Europe, Peking University, Sciences Po Paris and the World Trade Institute.
