Arthur Mol highlighted new developments at the Wageningen UR campus and the creation of a so called Campus Ecosystem involving, University, research institutes, spin offs / SME’s and (inter)national Companies. The Wageningen campus is growing rapidly and has a strong international dimension with students doing their Masters or PhD from all over the world. Wageningen UR works globally on 5 strategic themes, Food Security, liveable cities, Nutrition and Health, biobased Economy and climate change. The attendance at the Kenyan alumni meeting shows the commitment there still is with Wageningen UR. The meeting and the cocktail party afterwards was received with enthusiasm by the 23 Kenyan alumni. There are already informal alumni groups existing on social media and they are willing to take the initiative organising follow up events reaching out to even more Kenyan alumni.
