Workshop on Monitoring and Assessing Land Use Changes
In this workshop examples from different perspectives will be presented on the consequences of the strongly increasing demand for food, fibre and fuel on land use and land use changes at the global level. We hope to have a good debate on better linking agriculture and forest objectives in climate change mitigation and adaptation.
The workshop takes place after the PhD thesis defense of Veronique de Sy entitled “Remote sensing of land use and carbon losses following tropical deforestation”. You are also invited to attend the public defense of her thesis at 11:00 in the Aula.
