CineScience movietalk: The Martian

What would you do when your mission to Mars fails? You end up all alone on the red planet with enough food to last for 50 days, while it’s going to take at least four years for another mission to reach you. Good luck! Matt Damon in The Martian is challenged to make water and grow food on a planet where nothing grows. WUR ecologist Wieger Wamelink investigates the possibilities of growing crops on Mars and the moon using soil simulants delivered by NASA. So what other scientists would be the best fit to guide you through the facts and fiction in this movie.

The introduction by Wieger Wamelink will be in Dutch. The movie is English spoken with Dutch subtitles.
