'Co-creating visions of the future with social entrepreneurs in Finland: A place-based resourcefulness approach.' by Angela Moriggi.
During the RSO Lunch meeting seminar Angela Moriggi, PhD of Rural Sociology, introduces her findings of three experimental workshops carried out with Green Care practitioners in Finland, as final collaborative step of a 3-years action-oriented research. Special attention is given to the methods designed for the workshops, including arts-based techniques, Appreciative Inquiry, and Theory U facilitation approaches.
Transdisciplinary co-production of knowledge is at the heart of transformational sustainability research. It aims at generating actionable knowledge that is place-based and inclusive of different value systems, agendas, and non-human needs and actors. Performative visioning is particularly discussed these days; but how can it be operationalized in practice? What methods and processes can enable and sustain multi-fold social, cultural, environmental and economic value-creation in places?
