LSP MSc thesis nominated for the 2020 KIVI Cuperus award

The MSc thesis of LSP graduate Jerom Marseille (thesis supervisor: Dr. ir. Wendy Tan) titled “Exploring the First Mile: Understanding how policy, infrastructure and usage influence first mile travel by bicycle to train stations in medium-sized cities in the Metropolitan Region of Amsterdam” is one of the three nominated thesis for the 2020 edition of the Cuperus prize.

The Traffic and Transport department of the Netherlands Royal Institute of Engineers (KIVI) holds a biennial competition for the best graduate thesis from traffic and transport programs from Dutch universities in collaboration with CROW, DHV en ProRail. The first prize includes a cash prize of € 1.000 and an annual membership to KIVI. The second and third prizes are € 500 and € 250 respectively. The results of the competition will be announced during the National Traffic Engineer Congress on 29th of October and will be livestreamed.
