Exploring your gender with the genderbread (CANCELLED)

Gender is one of those things everyone thinks they understand, but most people don’t. Gender isn’t binary. It’s not either/or. In many cases it’s both/and, a dash of that. It is a (social) construct with multiple layers. Gender identity, gender expression, biological sex, and sexual orientation are independent of one another (i.e., they are not connected). A nice tool to visualize this is the Genderbread person. SHOUT, the LGBTQ+ association, offers a workshop where you will learn more about the different parts of gender and find out for yourself where you are on the spectra of sex, gender expression, gender identity and sexual and romantic attraction.
