Informal and independent waste collectors play a vital role in the fight against plastic pollution in developing countries. In most cases, their service prevents waste from polluting the environment. What do we know about this sector, and how come these independent waste collectors become the unsung heroes of combating plastic pollution?

We’ll explore waste management in Asia and Africa with different speakers. Also we’ll find out what programs have been implemented to combat pollution, and highlight the roles of independent and informal waste collectors in developing countries.

By the end of the panel session, we will have a short brainstorming session. Here you can discuss ideas to create a circular world and help the community that depends on it.
