Summary

This thesis contains information about the species diversity of microscopic fungi obtained through cultural methods from peat and silt of peat bogs located on the White Sea coast (Arctic), formed as a result of separation from the sea due to post-glacial land uplift. A comparison is also made between the fungal communities of these peat bogs and the fungal community of peat bogs in the middle latitudes. The study analyzes publications on fungi from the Arctic and Antarctica, identified using cultural and molecular methods. In the samples from the Arctic island, a species of fungus was discovered for the first time, previously known only from Antarctica and the Tibetan Plateau. The thesis presents a taxonomic analysis, morphological description, and results of experimental studies of this species.
