Online Summer Thesis Writing Group
Are you working on your bachelor's or master's thesis this summer and could you use some support? Join our online Summer Thesis Writing Group!
From July 14 to August 29, the Wageningen Writing Lab will host an online community (on MS Teams) where you can connect with other thesis students from WUR. Writing coaches from the Writing Lab will provide writing tips, be available
for one-on-one meetings, share best practices, help you set realistic goals,
and celebrate both the big and small milestones in your thesis process!
Who for?
WUR students working on their thesis this summer.
When?
From Monday, July 14, to Friday, August 29. You can join at any time and decide which days and weeks you want to participate.
Where?
MS Teams
What can you expect?
- A safe online environment to meet other thesis students
- Support and accountability from the group
- Writing tips (from fellow students and writing coaches)
- Space for one-on-one conversations about your thesis and writing process
- Daily routines to keep you productive and motivated
The Summer Thesis Writing Group has no fixed program. However, a writing coach will check in with the group regularly each week.
What do we expect from you?
The more actively you participate, the more you’ll benefit from the collaborative writing experience.
Some best practices:
- Introduce yourself to new group members
- Post your goals for the day in the chat
- Reflect at the end of the day on what didn’t and did (!) go well
- Share your successes and setbacks
- Ask questions (there’s often a lot of knowledge in a group)
- Start a videocall and work with cameras on (and sound off)
