Symposium
Safe Insects Symposium
Can we safely breed insects on organic residual streams? That is the question during the 'Safe Insects Symposium'.
Note: a maximum of 200 people can participate in the symposium. After that you will be put on a waiting list. So register as soon as possible.
Valuable nutrients
Organic residual flows, such as supermarket mix, poultry manure, slaughter by-products or vegetables, fruit and food scraps from households, are a source of valuable nutrients but are still underutilised. The safe use of these - currently legally prohibited - residual flows for the cultivation of insects can contribute to the ambition of the Netherlands, namely circular agriculture in 2030!
Highlights Safe Insects
The 'Safe Insects' project investigates feed and food safety for humans and animals and the technical feasibility of growing insects on organic residual flows. During the 'Safe Insects Symposium', we will present the highlights together with our partners.
