Science weekend 2022 at WUR
Are you coming to see what science can do? On 1 and 2 October 2022 it is the Weekend of Science: The free science festival for everyone from 8 to 88 years old. These are the activities organised by Wageningen University & Research!
Imagine a world without science. There would be no climate change research, no research on sustainable agriculture and no development of covid vaccines last year. There would be no electric cars and no online video calls. Let alone telephones, clothes or refrigerators. And maybe the Netherlands would be permanently under water.
Healthy life starts from the ground! This year all out activities focus on soil and soil biology and are organised by the Soil Science cluster. We will have various activities including a soil game (activity in English), a fun earthworm catch, an interactive lecture about soil, and a permanent stand with information and activities about the fascinating world of soil animals! Come and join us at one of our activities, take a look behind the scenes and meet real soil scientists.
