We were very happy to have been able to invite alumni once again to the workplace of one of our alumni, Ermis Panagiotopoulos. He showed us his workplace, the European Federation of Bottled Waters (EFBW), and discussed with us the main topics the EFBW is dealing with.

Biography Ermis Panagiotopoulos

Ermis Panagiotopoulos is a Greek/Belgian binational. He holds a bachelor's degree (BSc) in Water Management and Agriculture Engineering (Greece), a master’s degree (MSc) in Environmental Science from Wageningen University and an MA in International Politics (Brussels).

Ermis has been living and working in Brussels since 2006. He has worked in NGOs, European Commission and industry. Having worked for almost 7 years in the fertilizer industry he moved 1 year ago to his current position as Sustainability Manager for the European Federation of Bottled Water. 

His expertise is very diverse and includes issues such as agriculture, water, waste and circular economy. His work involves regular advocacy work to EU institutions.

The European Federation of Bottled Waters (EFBW) is the voice of the bottled water industry, dedicated to promoting the unique qualities of natural mineral and spring water among EU institutions and international organisations. EFBW is a registered international not for profit trade association with a membership base of national trade associations and direct member companies. In total, EFBW represents almost 600 natural mineral and spring water producers in Europe.
