FAO and academia discuss impact of COVID-19 Pandemic

The COVID-19 pandemic has created a new set of challenges for food and agriculture. In this context, FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations) organised a roundtable with a number of its academic partners. What role can partnerships with academia play?

On July 1, representatives from academic and research institutions met with FAO staff for the virtual roundtable. Panellists from Texas A&M Agrilife, China Agricultural University, International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (CIHEAM), Africa Rice Centre and Wageningen University & Research met. On behalf of WUR Louise O. Fresco, President of the Executive Board participated.
