Hens Runhaar appointed Professor of Management of Biodiversity and Agrarian Landscapes

Dr Hens Runhaar has been appointed as Special Professor of Management of Biodiversity and Agrarian Landscapes at Wageningen University with effect from 1 September 2015. The chair is part of the Forest and Nature Conservation Policy Group.

Dr Hens Runhaar (Alphen aan den Rijn, 1971) specialises in environmental policy analysis. He worked for Erasmus University Rotterdam and various consultancy firms before obtaining his doctoral degree in 2002 from TU Delft. In 2003 he was appointed at Utrecht University as Assistant Professor. He later became Associate Professor at the same university.

Runhaar will combine the 0.4 FTE part-time post as Special Professor at Wageningen University with a part-time post as Associate Professor at Utrecht University. His chair is funded by the Chair Agricultural Nature and Landscape Management Foundation
