The United Nations have designated 2015 as the ‘International Year of Soils’ to highlight the importance of a healthy soil for the quality of life. Various Wageningen-based institutions and organisations have joined in the 'Wageningen Soil Network' to support this international year of the soil together.
The soil expertise of Wageningen sets the tone. As much as in describing the physical properties of the soil, the relationships between the soil and climate, the improvement of soil fertility, as well as in gaining insight into soil life: ‘Wageningen’ delivers the views that local and global parties are looking for to improve the use of the soil on behalf of the current and future generations.
On this web page you will find activities and events of the members of the Wageningen soil Network.
