Anaerobic fungal communities differ along the horse hindgut

Bacterial, protozoal and archaeal community composition is known to differ along the equine hindgut, However, it was not known if this was also the case for anaerobic fungi. In a collaborative study, anaerobic fungal analysis of hindgut content found that anaerobic fungal community composition and concentration differed along the hindgut.
