Community-based fluorosis mitigation programs (water quality)

How do institutional dynamics affect community based fluorosis mitigation programs?

The People's Science Institute (PSI) is a non-profit research and development organization. Its stated mission is, “To help eradicate poverty through the empowerment of the poor and the productive, sustainable and equitable use of available human and natural resources.”

PSI's activities are grouped under five units:

  • Natural Resource Management
  • Environmental Quality Monitoring
  • Disaster Mitigation and Response
  • Innovative Projects
  • River Conservation

Each unit implements development projects, undertakes research and provides training and professional support to other voluntary organizations and government agencies.  PSI has a competent staff of socially conscious engineers, scientists and social workers to carry out these tasks.
