MoodTV Study
Mood and emotions are very important factors in well-being and health and are easily influenced by, for example, social interactions, physical activity, diet, or watching TV. Watching TV series is very popular and sometimes also seen as ‘comforting’. There are various genres such as comedy, action, and drama. These might evoke different emotions. The aim of this research is to gain more insight into if and how emotions and mood are affected by TV series and if this differs between genres.
What's in it for you?
- A financial compensation of €35 for participating in the entire study.
- Three movies with free snacks.
What do we ask from you?
We expect you to join three sessions. Sessions 1 and 2 are each 60 minutes long,
and session 3 lasts 90 minutes. During these sessions, you will watch TV series
with snacks and fill out questionnaires.
When and where?
The study will be conducted in Helix, WUR building. Three test sessions will take
place in the late afternoon at 5:30pm in November / December in Helix, WUR
building.
You can participate by:
- Filling in the screening questionnaire via the link below.
- Participating in 3 test sessions in Helix, WUR building.
Who can participate?
- All genders
- Age 18-55
- Normal BMI (18.5-24.9 kg/m2)
- Are in good general health
- Willing to comply with study procedures
- Non vegan and non vegetarian
- Not pregnant or breastfeeding
