Department description

The Chairs headed by Prof Heiss and Prof. Schnyder are offering a position as a PhD candidate in the project on 'Principles of Re-Insurance Contract Law' (PRICL) which is sponsored by the Swiss National Funds. Conducted in cooperation with the Universities of Frankfurt am Main and Vienna, the aim of the project is to draft international 'Principles of Reinsurance Contract Law' (PRICL). For this purpose, an international research network made up of academics from countries with leading insurance sectors and from various legal families has been established.

Relevant qualifications required

  • Master of Law or equivalent academic degree

  • Ability to work independently

  • Knowledge of insurance law advantageous

Language skills

  • Fluency in German and English

  • Knowledge of other languages advantageous
