Structural diversity and evolutionary relationships of homologues of the potato cyst nematode resistance gene H1

To identify the gene, genomic sequences of 14 resistance gene candidates have been obtained. Genetic analysis revealed that they all belong to the same cluster at the H1 locus. In addition, several other homologues sequences have been found in a susceptible potato genotype. In silico sequence analysis will reveal all kinds of interesting thing like their predicted gene structure, the putative amino acid sequence and under what type of selective pressure they have evolved.
