Education Experience for teachers & staff

The Education Experience Team gathers feedback from teachers and staff members in our sessions to understand their needs and opportunities.
We use these insights to drive improvements and enhance the education experience for everyone at WUR.

How to join a session?

Click the button below to sign up for our sessions. You can choose which sessions you'd like to join. The sessions are held on campus during lunch breaks, and include a free vegetarian lunch.

After you sign up, we'll send you an Outlook invite with details about the session. You can expect this email within one week.

On the day of the session, just show up at the specified location at the announced time!

What happens during a session?

The sessions last about 2 hours. We provide food and drinks. A facilitator will guide you through one of our methods, like Customer Journey, Awareness Mapping, Design Thinking, Make Your Mark or one of our other methods. You'll work in small groups with teachers or staff members from across WUR, sharing your experiences. In some sessions, we mix teachers and students into groups. We'll always let you know beforehand if this is the case.

Our organisational embedding

The team is part of the Education & Student Affairs department at WUR. We organise sessions in consultation with our clients, who can be department heads, product owners, program directors, project leaders, or anyone else at WUR with the capacity to make changes.

Our goal is to provide insights to WUR teams to improve education-related processes and services and on the long term to make sure customer experience is included in every working group at WUR.

Our way of working

Clients usually come to us with research questions about their service or tool. One of our product managers will schedule an intake meeting to discuss these questions and determine if our methods are suitable. If so, we’ll plan a session.

After the session, one of our analysts will process the data and will discuss the results with and send them to the client. These results will also be shared with session participants via email.

Once the results are delivered, it’s up to the client to use them to improve their system or tool. We will follow up with the client after 1 year to review our collaboration and to learn what the client improved or changed.

Continuous Professional Development

The Teaching & Learning Centre (TLC) of WUR would like to know what kind of training is needed for teachers in order to develop professionally. What is it that teachers need, how can it benefit their recognition and rewarding, and how can TLC change their services accordingly. During interactive sessions using the awareness method (based on empathy mapping) small groups of teachers will work on this. Are you interested to join on May 1st or 7th (12-14 hrs), please sign up via the form on top or the right.
