Uppsala University
Uppsala University (UU) is the oldest university in Scandinavia, founded in 1477. Campus Uppsala is located 70 km north of Stockholm and 30 km from the international airport Stockholm Arlanda. Campus Gotland is our campus in Visby on the island of Gotland, in the Baltic Sea. In total, the university has about 45 000 students. Uppsala University is one of the top universities in the world according to major rankings.
There is an organised bus trip to Lapland which also stops in Uppsala that a lot of international students take. I had to skip some lectures but it was more than worth it, one of the most beautiful, fun and special trips I have made so far.

Course selection | Each semester at Uppsala university is divided into two study periods. Full time studies is considered 15 credits for each period. Some courses may end up full and we recommend you to select a few back-up alternatives for each period. This is an exchange agreement within Biology. It may be possible to include courses from other departments/faculties but we cannot guarantee this. If you choose courses from other departments you will also need to include at least one course from the Biology Education Centre as a back-up for each study period. Third-year bachelor's students are generally allowed to select master's (advanced) courses, provided they have a suitable academic background and unless stated otherwise. |
