Student Stephan - MSc Communication, Health and Life Sciences

After the Bachelor in Integrative Health Promotion in Germany, Stephan chose the master to study the subject of health from a variety of perspectives.

I’m also looking forward to the upcoming periods, where I can choose between a variety of courses in order to design an excellent programme that really fits my personal needs.

Stephan did his Bachelor in Integrative Health Promotion in Germany. “During my bachelors, I had only a few opportunities to go abroad, so I decided to do my whole master's programme in a foreign country. Looking for a high-quality programme I came across one of the smaller neighbours of Germany; the Netherlands and especially Wageningen. The University seemed to offer a first-class opportunity to study the subject of health from a variety of perspectives and so far, my opinion got confirmed.”

While the first courses are compulsory and therefore not every topic might fit exactly your interests, you stumble upon exciting subjects you probably never thought of before. But I’m also looking forward to the upcoming periods, where I can choose between a variety of courses in order to design an excellent programme that really fits my personal needs. While the master Health and Society unfortunately does not have as many international students as many other programs here, Wageningen has a lot to offer in this respect.

First, I was a bit concerned to move to such a small city, but the many international students as well as the welcoming Dutch students, make it easy to feel at home quite soon. Together with the variety of different students, sports and international associations, there’s no time left to get bored.

After my graduation, I either try to explore another country or might start working in a German consulting company for health promotion in the workplace setting.
