Introduction
Hej Hej! My name is Judith Bijlsma and I am a third year bachelor student Food Technology. Since last weekend I will spent half a year in Lund! Lund is a cute town in the south of Sweden. The bridge to Copenhagen is very nearby.
Nollningen
Hii! Sadly the University really started again yesterday.. This means lectures at 8 am! The system in Lund is different than the Dutch University system. My first course Drug Formulation for example contains only 20 people and has an oral exam.
University building
The beautiful building from Lund University is standing right in the centre of Lund.
Kannelbullar!
In Sweden is ‘’fika’’ an important thing! Fika is a verb and a noun in the Swedish language. Fika contains going to one of all the amazing cosy coffee bars from Sweden. There you will join a delicious coffee with a piece of pie or chocolate. Since I am a huge fan of cooking I created a kind of special fika pie myself, namely kannelbullar (Cinnamon rolls). The making of the dough took a little time and kneading. But in the end you will have the delicious and beautiful and product!
Studying in Lund
The main reason of me going abroad was of course to study, next to all the new friends and activities. That is the reason I’m going to tell you something about studying in Lund now.
The city Lund
It took me a little bit time to write a new piece again, mainly because of all the fun stuff here and of course all the hard studying. Today I would like to tell you a little bit more about the city Lund, Lund is not a well-known city by a lot of people and this is a real pity!
Time flies when you're having fun
Time flies when you are having fun! Only 6 more weeks left in this beautiful city...The last couple of weeks (months actually) went by so fast. One moment I was organizing the introduction event of my student association, the next moment I was in Lund and now it is almost over again.
Lapland
It finally started on the 21st of November 5 am in the morning, the adventure to which I had been looking forward since my arrival in Lund. Adventure Lapland! Since we arrived really early in Helsinki on Friday morning, we had the whole day to discover the city. When our airplane landed the snow started to fall out of the sky. The first snow of the year is of course always something special and sooner snow balls flew in the sky! Because we didn’t had that much time in Helsinki, we decided to visit mainly the hotspots in the city centre.
Goodbye Lund
Hej då Lund, Hoi Wageningen! Two weeks ago I said my last goodbyes to Lund, my Swedish room and all my new friends. When I just arrived in Lund I thought that 4 months of Erasmus would mean that I would have all the time of the world. The contrary seems true, the last 4 months past by so fast. But what an amazing new experiences I have; fika, nollning, swimming in the sjönsjön, Copenhagen, the nations and of course Lapland!
