Registration procedure & required documents for PhD-application
The PhD registration system of Wageningen University is Hora Finita. Please find the Hora Finita manuals here: Hora Finita help and information - WUR.
The registration starts with the chair group who informs the Graduate School about the prospective PhD candidate, the Graduate School will start the registration in Hora Finita. During this registration process the candidate needs to upload the required documents as indicated below. These documents are needed to process the registration and admission.
Note that all documents must be submitted prior to the start of the PhD project and that registration in Hora Finita is compulsory to be eligible for support in finding housing and obtaining a residence permit.
Required documents
The specific documents that need to be submitted depend on the type of MSc diploma of the prospective PhD candidate, and are summed up in the list of documents below:
All scans must be PDF Files.
To be able to upload all the documents in Hora Finita you need to make two documents:
- Combine the BSc documents (and official English translation when required).
- Combine the MSc documents (and official English translation when required).
- Reduce the file sixe of the scans if the complete set of scans exceeds 10 MB (passport excluded).
- We recommend to certify the scan of the passport with the date, purpose and name of organization for which the scan is intended. Note that this text may not overlap with the text or photos in the passport.
- The English language requirements: if you are not Dutch, do not come from an English-speaking country or have not follewed your master's in English, you are required to submit an internationally recognized certificate of proficiency in the English language.
