Buddy Program

What is the Buddy Program?

The Buddy Program is one of ESN's largest and most successful initiatives that aims to bring and introduce students together. Through activities and events that exceed the academic and social spheres, the Buddy Program also aims to introduce students to the different causes and goals of ESN and assist in achievingthem. Over the years, it has grown in both size and popularity, proving to be an engaging project worth joining.

The Buddy Program works just like a family where students can join as either kids or mentors. If you sign up as a kid, you will be organised into groups of 10 to 15 members, guided and supported by 2 to 3 othermore experienced students known asthe mentors. Together, you can organise your own fun activities, or join those organised and supported by ESN. You can also complete Buddy challenges that

you will receive at the beginning of the academic year. By doing that, you accumulate points, and if you are into competition and competing against others, you will have the chance to test your might against other Buddy Families. This is known as the Battle of the Buddy Families. The group with the most points at the end of the semester will win the grand prize!

A 2023-2024 Theme: The Realm of Cards

And to make the experience more fun (and challenging for those that want to compete), ESN Wageningen is proud to introduce this year 'The Realm of Cards', a unique design for the Buddy Program. Buddy-specific and some more general ESN activities will now be themed after each of the four suites in a deck of cards, each having a different meaning or difficulty.
