Advanced Speaking Skills (face-to-face)

The Advanced Speaking Skills course is intended for everyone who want to improve their speaking skills.

Course content

Did you know that the average native speaker uses about 15,000 words? You may not need to learn quite so many words to speak English well. However, a wide vocabulary is important for getting your message across clearly and convincingly. You will learn to expand your vocabulary easily by discussing various topics and receiving useful tips.

During the course:

• you get tips on how to learn and remember vocabulary effectively;
• we discuss why vocabulary and tone are important;
• you work on your speaking skills by talking about your work, plans for the future, current events, and of course, there will be room for social talk;
• you learn the quirks of the English language and typical English expressions;
• you learn how to avoid vague language.

Admission requirements

To take this course you need to score 80 or higher on the Oxford Online Placement Test (OOPT).
